Choosing the right Volt Stick

Volt Stick LV50
The Volt Stick LV50 is a high sensitivity, intrinsically-safe version of the Volt Stick non-contact voltage checker.
Companies such as Shell, Network Rail, Cadent and many more have approved the Volt Stick LV50 as the exclusive safety checking device for their field engineers to test metallic surfaces, pipework and cables to be safe from potentially lethal voltages.
The LV50 is sensitive down to just 50v AC allowing for instant - and potentially life-saving - identification of spurious / unexpected live voltages in materials, devices or workspaces.
Used in a wide variety of hazardous and potentially explosive atmospheres - such as gas and petrochemical applications - the LV50 is both ATEX and IECEx approved to be intrinsically-safe.

Volt Stick LV12
The Volt Stick LV12 is a high sensitivity, intrinsically-safe version of our market-leading Volt Stick non-contact voltage checker.
The Volt Stick LV12 was developed, as a safety checking device for utilities field engineers to test metallic surfaces, pipework and cables to be safe from potentially lethal voltages at the lower levels required by some safety regulations.
The Volt Stick LV12 is sensitive down to just 12v AC allowing for instant - and potentially life-saving - identification of spurious / unexpected live voltages in materials, devices or workspaces.
Used in a wide variety of hazardous and potentially explosive atmospheres - such as gas and petrochemical applications - the LV12 is both ATEX and IECEx approved to be intrinsically-safe.

Volt Stick 230Y
The Volt Stick 230Y is designed for safe checking for the presence of an AC voltage - without the need to make any disconnections - for cables, power sockets, fuses, junction boxes, circuit breakers and more.
When the 230Y is presented in close proximity to a potential voltage source (ie. a cable, wire, socket, etc), the red LED indicator in the Volt Stick's tip will illuminate on detection of an AC voltage (within the range of 200~1000v AC).
It is effective for testing electrical connection points and insulated cables.

Volt Stick Bright
The Volt Stick Bright is ideal for testing 'live / not live' cables, wires, electrical sockets, switched and fuses, etc.
The Bright features two interchangeable sensitivity settings (switchable by the user between standard 230v range & high sensitivity 20v range), built-in bright LED flashlight, more powerful LED & Sound indicators and digital microprocessor for higher accuracy and on-board function testing.

Volt Stick Sound
The Volt Stick Sound features both red LED indicator and sounder, for added confidence when checking for the presence of an AC voltage.
Designed for quickly and safely checking for 'live / not live' AC voltage, the Sound provides both visual and audible warnings when testing potential live sources such as cables/wires, electrical sockets, switches, junction boxes and circuit breakers.
The Sound's buzzer feature provides additional clarification of AC voltage presence if you're testing in bright light environments or in hard to reach areas where visibility of the checker's LED tip may be restricted.
It is the ideal model for safe, instant checking of 230v mains electrics, live fuse identification and polarity identification.

The PRO230 is designed to safely check for the presence of an AC voltage, without making any disconnections in cables, wall sockets, fuses, circuit breakers, junction boxes, etc.
It is ideal for professional, close proximity testing and installation work.
The PRO230 is also supplied with an adaptor for 'standard' cable testing (ie. where selective cable conductor testing is not required or for testing larger diameter cables).

The Volt Stick EX230 is an ATEX / IECEx-approved, intrinsically-safe version of the Volt Stick 230v AC non-contact voltage tester.
Providing an instant and safe checking device, the EX230 tests for the presence of an AC voltage, without making any disconnections in cables, wall sockets, fuses, circuit breakers, junction boxes.
This certified intrinsically-safe version version of the Volt Stick instant voltage tester is approved for use in explosive atmospheres / hazardous areas such as chemical plants, oil refineries and off-shore rigs.

Volt Stick Wide
The Volt Stick Wide is an extremely sensitive proximity tester indicating voltage down to 12V AC.

Volt Stick 110
The Volt Stick 110 is a high sensitivity non-contact tester, designed to quickly and easily check for the presence of AC voltage down to 90v without making any disconnections in cables, wall sockets, fuses circuit breakers, junction boxes, etc.
The 110 is ideal for construction site temporary supplies and, of course, for use in mains testing in the USA. The red indicator in the tip will illuminate on detection of AC voltage simply by applying the tip close to any connection point, or moving it along any insulated cable.
